Apex Volleyball training philosophy:
Constant feedback with moving with pace through skillset specific drills.
Utilizing chaos of gameplay situations to help today’s athletes process and perform in real competitions and remain calm and comfortable.
Each athlete has their own independent needs for feedback. Apex strives to read those needs early and apply that athletes comfortable coaching style as soon as possible to help the athlete learn quicker and improve.
Your staff:
Eric loves volleyball! The constant evolution of the game, the athleticism of todays athletes and the strategies involved. He was immediately smitten watching a group play while lifeguarding in 1990.
Eric will tell you he was lucky enough to be accepted by the local professional players back then and enjoyed being taught by the best. Partnering up to travel and play with some amazing athletes. Playing professionally both indoor and outdoor all over the continental US as well as outside.
In 2004 he joined forces with the now defunct Delaware Valley VBC and quickly revamped the organization to become Infinity Volleyball Academy out of Chalfont Pa.
In 2013 Eric took his experience to Florida where he once again enjoyed learning more about the sport he loves so much. Helping at Universities, Professional teams and Open level Juniors he returned to Pa in 2018.
Apex is built on the old DElVal days where we have a net, good feedback and play. Hig paced drill sets to allow todays modern athletes to think, adjust and excel while in game like paced surroundings. Not too complicated and a great coach once told Eric that "Playing volleyball teaches volleyball".
Keeping it simple we meet for our sessions in Skippack on Church road near the beautiful Skippack village.
Eric believes that grassroot volleyball training is the key to bringing the Keystone state back to it's once proud form.
Jen has been around the sport for a very long time. Surrounded by a pure volleyball family she played travel ball for Del-Val VBC, Infinity volleyball academy and Xcelleration. Following a stellar high school career she accepted an offer to play at DeSalles university.
Due to injuries Jen began to coach juniors to keep her love for the sport alive. She has coached at the Collegiate NCAA level, High School level and travel club.
Coach Kylie joins the staff as a current collegiate volleyball player at Salisbury University.
She brings 3 years as a varsity starter for North Penn High School and many years competing for USAV juniors throughout the country.
Coach Liv brings years of USAV Jr volleyball experience as well as a graduate of North Penn where she helped the Lady Knights to the District tournament in 2022.
Coach Audra is born and raised in sunny Florida where vollleyball and soccer were her true loves. She played in her high school as a setter and continued playing collegiately after.
Coach Audra coached USAV Jr’s at the largest most successful club in the US when she helped her 12U OTVA team excel at many events.
Jackson is our group comedian and helper. Setting up nets, organizing equipment and sometimes helping run drills. L’il Coach has been around a volleyball and gyms for a long time! So he brings some extra hands and laughs to the sessions.
